The following databases are suggested for your search:

Bloomberg (must use Bloomberg Terminal available only on-campus) : (Bloomberg terminals is a computer system for professionals in business (primarily finance) and other industries to access, monitor and analyze real-time financial market data and place trades on its electronic trading platform. The system also provides up-to-date news, price quotes, and messaging across its network.)

  1. Access your Bloomberg account
  2. Type MA 
  3. Hit Go

Mergent : (Provides U.S. company data for over 15,000 public companies and their SEC filings, U.S. annual reports, plus international company data for approximately 17,000 companies, international annual reports, FactSheets, and country information.)

  1. Search for a company
  2. Select "Company Details"
  3. Click "History"
  4. Use the Topics dropdown menu to select "Acquisitions Completed" or "Mergers Completed"

M & A articles; news and analysis on M&A; Leveraged Buyouts; etc.:

  • ABI/inform (This database provides information on local companies and local markets. Covers major business tabloids, magazines, daily newspapers, wire services, and area business publications from 1982 to the present.)
     
  • Business Source Complete (Business Source Complete is a scholarly business database that provides full-text access to many peer-reviewed business related journals, including disciplines such as marketing, management, MIS, POM, accounting, finance and economics.)
     
     
  • Factiva (Provides essential business news and information combined with content delivery tools and services to help users to make better business decisions.)
