Most of the time, you don't need a GALILEO password. Just use the database links on the library website and you can log in with your campus ID and password.
You can find the current GALILEO password by logging in to your library account. The password is on your main profile page at the bottom left.
The GALILEO password is also available in iCollege. Just log into iCollege and look for the "University Library" section in the left column. The GALILEO password for the semester is included in the University Library information. (See image below.)
Or, you can access the same content that you'll find in GALILEO through the GSU Library's databases. Look on the library's homepage for the Discover search. In that box, you can do a large-scale search (with Discover), choose a subject area (Go to Databases by Subject) or choose a specific database (Databases by Name A-Z). When accessing the library databases on the library homepage from off-campus, you will be prompted for your campus ID and password.
- This does not tell me how to find the current GALILEO password once I'm in my library account. In my account it says "Click Request Above," but that does not actually give me the GALILEO password.
Library's Response: The instructions in this FAQ are for accessing your library account through GIL-Find, which is the link supplied in the answer. If you go to your account through GIL Classic and see "Click Request Above" just click on the word "Request" in the menu immediately above the window to reveal the password.
