Yes. Recall means asking a patron who has a book checked out to return it so that it is available for you to check out.
You can recall a book by going into the record in the GIL-Find book catalog. Once in the record scroll down to the bottom where it shows the status of the item. Click the "recall this item" link (shown below).
The person who has it checked out will receive an email asking them to return the book to the library. Note that the speed of the book being returned is up to the person who has it checked out.
