Discover Advanced Search gives you more powerful tools to search the same resources included in the basic Discover search.

  • Multiple search boxes make it easier to combine search terms in complex ways
  • Use drop-down boxes by your keywords to indicate they are title, subject, author, etc.
  • Narrow by discipline
  • Include search limiters such as date, full text, etc. before searching.
  • Change the type of search (For example, use Boolean searching, which requires search terms to be connected with Boolean operators and only searches within the descriptors of articles rather than within the full text.)

You can get to the Discover Advanced Search from the GSU Library homepage or by clicking on "Advanced Search" under the search box while in GALILEO Discover.
