Faculty submit a Proxy Authorization form to allow another user to check out Georgia State University library materials and pick up interlibrary loan (ILL) or GIL Express books on their behalf. Requests for materials must be made by faculty themselves. Under this arrangement, the instructor agrees to be responsible for responding to recall notices, returning/renewing materials on time, and paying any fees for books that are lost or damaged.
At the time of check out or pick up, the proxy presents their PantherCard and tells the library staff that they are checking out or picking up books for the instructor. The Library will verify the proxy relationship before completing any transaction.
If you have any questions about proxy authorization, or questions about materials checked out through a proxy, please contact library circulation.
