Exact licensing agreements vary (see details below), but all of our streaming videos may be shown in a classroom for educational purposes. They may also be linked to or embedded in iCollege for students to view as part of an assignment or learning activity.
You may distribute links that require log in with GSU credentials.
Instructions for obtaining links or embed code:
- Kanopy links or embed code
- SWANK links or embed code
- Films on Demand links
- Films on Demand embedding in iCollege
Caution: When assigning a film for class, you should check the license expiration date to make sure the film will be available when you need it.
Note: Most personal streaming services, like Netflix and Amazon Prime, specifically do NOT allow showings in class or in public for most of the films in their collections; check your licensing agreement for specifics. Depending on the film, the library may be able to arrange to host a copy. Contact the librarian for your subject or Perimeter campus or use the Suggest for Purchase form to make such a request.
