How do I search for articles within a specific newspaper or journal?

  1. To start, go to the University Library home page.

  2. In the Search within area, Click on "Journals."

  3. Enter the journal/newspaper/magazine title into the search box.

  4. Click Enter or click on the magnifying glass to complete the search.

  5. Results will open in the GIL-Find library catalog.

If there is only one option, the information about that journal will open. If there is more than one option, a list of titles will appear. Consider publication date, place, and online availability to help you find the title you want.

When you open the title, a list of databases that hold that title will appear. The date range for coverage is listed, so consider that when selecting your database.

The search interface is a little different for each database, but most databases let you browse and search for specific terms.
