Only books are available for GIL Express loans. Each school determines the types of books that they will allow to circulate as GIL Express items.
Most University System of Georgia schools, including GSU, do not allow periodicals, reference, media, microfilm, microfiche, special collections, and reserves items to circulate.
Libraries may also deny a request for a particular book for a variety of reasons. For example, your request may be denied if they cannot locate the item. They may also deny GIL Express requests for books that are frequently used as textbooks.
If you want to request an article from a periodical or other item not available through GIL Express, you might want to try an Interlibrary Loan Request.
More information can be found on the GIL Express borrowing services page.
