When items are overdue for a while, the computer automatically assigns a "lost" status to the item and you will be responsible for the replacement cost including processing fees. If you still have the item, turn it back into the library and we'll forgive the lost fine and just charge you the overdue fine. If you believe you have turned the item in, or never actually checked out the item then contact any library circulation or User Services desk and we'll see if we can locate the item and resolve the issue.
Note that many people who think they have returned an item later find it under their car seats or their bed, so you might want to double check those places first!
