GSU library has four database collections that consist of streaming video, documentaries and feature films. (Some other databases have video specific to a subject area, such as business or nursing.)

These are our streaming video databases:

  • SWANK Digital Campus - Find this link under S in the Databases A-Z list on the library homepage.
    • Offers online streaming of a wide range of feature films, documentaries, and foreign films.

 

  • Kanopy Streaming Video - Find this link under F in the Databases A-Z list on the library homepage.
    • Kanopy is an on-demand streaming video service for educational institutions that provides students and faculty access to a large collection of documentaries and independent films in a wide variety of subjects.

 

  • Films on Demand - Find this link under F in the Databases A-Z list on the library homepage. 
    • Films on Demand includes bibliographic and full-text database covering film and television research, covering books, journals, movie reviews, and images.

 

  • Academic Video Online (AVON) - Find this link under A in the Databases A-Z list on the library homepage
    • Over 70,000 titles spanning the widest range of subject areas including anthropology, business, counseling, film, health, history, music, and more. Use link to sign in via our institution. Includes films from producers such as California Newsreel, Sony Pictures Classics, Music Box, Oscilloscope, BBC, Collective Eye, Royal Shakespeare Company, BroadwayHD, and more.
