Visitor Access Policy

Visitors must present a government-issued photo ID card or passport to enter the library and sign in and out with a security guard or library staff member. An image of a photo ID is not permitted. Persons under the age of 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult caregiver.

In line with GSU Building Access policy, visitors may enter no earlier than 7:30 a.m. and exit no later than 8:00 p.m. Library hours vary by campus and may change during break periods and holidays. Please consult the University Library Hours on our website.

Visitors may use designated computer workstations within the library upon request and proof of identification. The University Library reserves the right to limit the amount of time that a visitor can occupy a computer and give priority to GSU students, faculty, and staff. The library strictly enforces federal, state, local, and university rules governing the use of computer resources and behavior in public spaces.

Visitor@GSU Wi-Fi allows visitors to access most of our databases and other online resources from within the library buildings. Licensing agreements prohibit off-campus access for non-GSU users. Community members may purchase a Community Borrower Card for $30 to borrow up to 5 books from the general collection for 4 weeks with 2 renewals. The card is valid for 365 days from the purchase date.
